Ah! So I'm taking a break between two finals to write this. More to come later, when all this stuff is out of the way and I am in the car on my way to Florida for family vacation :)

Just got my first grade back for this semester- an A for intro painting. yay! Sometimes you really cannot predict how you will do in a class, and it is nice to see that your hard work has paid off.

And, had my first final of three. Silly me though screwed up the exam times and did not study for the one exam (Baroque art history) that I could have gotten an A on with an hour of studying! (thought it was later in the afternoon, and turns out it was at 10AM when I thought another one was...)

Now I am in the library going over my 300 flashcards for Design history of the 20th century... EEK! I also am noticing a smell coming from my armpits. Maybe I should shower during finals week instead of studying constantly...

In news other than finals, I got elected to be the VP of Fellowship for my service fraternity (on Saturday). It is really a pretty big position- I will be in charge of planning all of the fun things that our 200 members will do as a group. Ideas I have in mind are a ski/snowboard trip, laser tag, sledding, and maybe an camping trip to the Adirondacks. So hopefully my class schedule will leave me enough time to do a good job planning all of these things :)

Finals: To Do

Finals time has rolled around, whoopee!! The weird thing is that while most of my friends are looking forward to finishing all of their classes and getting the work out of the way, I only really want one of my classes to end. Of my five classes, I love four of them! That’s pretty cool ☺.

In order for me to make sure I get all of my work done though, I constantly make to do lists. Here is mine for the rest of the semester:

ART 113- History of 20th c. Design
-read an entire book for a cumulative essay on the final exam
-revise ten writing assignments/ put into writing portfolio
-make flashcards for ~300 images- memorize (AKKK!!)
(can you tell that this is the one class that I want to be done with??)

FIA 436- Baroque Art of Northern Europe
-Reading response- 2 page paper based on reading
-make flashcards for ~100 images- memorize

LPP 255- Intro to the Legal System for Business
(go to class and study a little bit for the final)

JAM 271- Intro to Jewelry and Metalsmithing
-finish locket assignment- I am making a locket with a hinge for my final assignment. the surface is roll printed (put through a small metal rolling contraption) with my own hair (for a neat looking pattern)
-make another locket (if I have time)

PTG 281- Intro Painting
-finish three paintings!! (two weeks time- eek!)

And that is what I have to do for my classes, which does not include all of my busy-ness for APO and life in general! Good thing I love being busy!
